3 Worx Connect

Terms

Terms of Service

Effective 27 September 2026

These Terms govern the connectivity services of 3 Worx IT and Media Solutions (Pty) Ltd (registration number 2018/631179/07), trading as 3 Worx Solutions, offered as 3 Worx Connect on connect.3worxsolutions.com. The company also publishes information at 3worxsolutions.com. By applying for, accessing or using a service, you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy notice. If you do not agree, do not use the services.

Services

We sell the following. A package on the website describes the option you asked about. We confirm the exact service in a written quote.

  • Fibre.
  • 4G/5G (LTE/5G) mobile and fixed data.
  • Fixed Wireless, delivered with network partners.
  • Business Fibre.
  • Voice, SIP and hosted PBX. Voice is sold via Switch Telecom.
  • Routers and other equipment.

Services are best-effort unless we have signed a specific service level for a dedicated business line. Coverage depends on the network, the address, and, for fixed wireless, line of sight.

Network partners

Some services are delivered on partner networks. Those partners include fibre network operators, Openweb, WIRUlink, Switch Telecom and mobile networks. The fair-use and technical rules of the relevant network also apply. We will tell you which network applies at quote or order time.

Coverage checks and quotes

A coverage check or a quote is not a guarantee of installation. We confirm an order only after a feasibility check and a written quote. There is no instant activation. Browsing this website, saving an order request, or asking us to check an address does not start a service and does not take payment.

Installation and equipment

You must give 3 Worx, or the infrastructure partner doing the work, reasonable access to the premises. That partner may be a fibre network operator or a wireless technician.

Equipment such as a fibre termination unit, a router or wireless equipment remains our property unless you bought it outright. You must protect it from surges, lightning, water and unauthorised tampering. If equipment is damaged, lost, or not returned when the service ends, we may bill the cost to your account.

Your devices and your connection

You are responsible for securing your own devices, including your Wi-Fi password, and for activity on your connection. Tell us promptly if you believe someone is using the connection without your permission.

Billing and payment

Monthly services are billed in advance. We invoice you before the new billing month. You can pay by authorised debit order or by EFT. Any other payment method, including an online gateway, applies only if we confirm it with you in writing. This website does not take payment when you check coverage or save a quote.

A prepaid package is valid for 30 days. It does not renew automatically. Unused time or data is not refundable unless the law requires a refund.

If we change a price, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice by email or on this website.

Late payment

If an amount is overdue, we will notify you of the overdue amount and give you a reasonable chance to pay. If it remains unpaid after that, we may suspend the service. We may charge a reactivation fee to restore a suspended service.

Acceptable use

You may not use a service to do any of the following:

  • Carry unlawful material, including material that infringes copyright.
  • Launch or take part in a denial-of-service attack, send spam, or abuse bandwidth on an uncapped fair-use account.
  • Resell the service without our written permission.

If you break these rules, we may throttle, suspend or end the service.

Voice, number porting and emergency calls

Voice, SIP and hosted PBX are sold via Switch Telecom. We tell you that at quote or order time.

  • Number porting is subject to the losing provider. We will tell you what that provider requires. We cannot promise that a number can be ported.
  • Emergency calls may not work during a power failure or an internet outage. Do not rely on the voice service as your only way to reach emergency services.
  • SIM-based services require RICA registration before activation.

Outages outside our control

We are not liable for interruptions caused by an upstream fibre network outage or a cable break, by extreme weather that affects fixed wireless, by load-shedding or another power failure at your premises, or by an act of God, disaster, vandalism or theft of infrastructure. We endeavour to keep our core distribution sites powered. The service is best-effort. We do not promise a specific uptime figure unless a written service level says so.

How long the service runs, and how to cancel

A service is month-to-month unless we agree a fixed term with you in writing.

  • Month-to-month: you may cancel with at least one full calendar month’s written notice, sent through our official contact channels.
  • Fixed term: under section 14 of the Consumer Protection Act, you may cancel by giving 20 business days’ written notice. A reasonable cancellation charge may apply.
  • Cooling-off: if you bought a service online or by another electronic transaction, section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act may give you 7 days to cancel, where that right applies. It does not apply where the service has already started at your request, or where that Act excludes the transaction.

If we subsidised installation or router costs and you cancel within the first 12 months, or within a promotional period we agreed with you, a clawback may apply. Any such charge is limited to a reasonable cancellation charge where the Consumer Protection Act requires that.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by the Consumer Protection Act, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, including loss of profits, revenue, data or business opportunities. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under the Consumer Protection Act, including liability for gross negligence. You indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your use of the services, except where the law does not allow that indemnity.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa. Disputes are subject to the South African courts. A regulatory dispute may be raised with ICASA.

Changes to these Terms

If we make a material change to these Terms, or we change a price, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice by email or on this website. A minor change, or a change made to comply with the law, may apply when we post it.
